MySQL and PostgreSQL databases

Databases are used to organize the storage of data. They are usually holding the information for different software applications, inlcuding e-shopping carts, forums, portal systems and content management systems.

We offer two of the most widely-used types of databases - MySQL and PostgreSQL.

You can easily manipulate your databases from your control panel - MySQL and PostgreSQL Sections. We also offer easy-to-use web-based graphical interfaces for managing both MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. Those are called phpMyAdmin and phpPgAdmin, respectively.

How to manipulate your PostGRE and MySQL databases from your control panel?

If you wish to connect a script to a database, please make sure that:

1. You have created the database.

2. There are users for that database.

3. The user is added to the database.

4. You are using the source code which is generated by the cPanel to connect to your databases.

Important notice: Joomlinux support team can and does help our customers with installations of scripts that use databases. However, we do not provide development support. If you need help with creating database-driven applications, please look for a professional development service.
